Looking at some other similar pages, Kyrgyzstan at the 2010 Winter Olympics and San Marino at the 2010 Winter Olympics for example, they use the phrase "sent a delegation to compete in the..." where as this one uses compete at the..." Is there a correct way to refer to competing at an Olympic Games or are both acceptable?

Indeed, I go through the article marking notes in a separate app. Seems you got to this after I had noted it.

There's an image available at Commons of the Algerian delegation at the opening ceremony, File:2010 Opening Ceremony - Algeria entering.jpg. Would be nice to include the image.
