I'll take a look at this one, will post review soon. Kosack (talk) 05:45, 11 July 2018 (UTC)
Initial review
Lead
[edit]- Unlink Italy, per WP:OVERLINK. Common major place names, especially countries, should generally not be linked.
- Done. Courcelles (talk) 19:24, 11 July 2018 (UTC)
- Link Winter Olympics to Winter Olympic Games.
- Looking at some other similar pages, Kyrgyzstan at the 2010 Winter Olympics and San Marino at the 2010 Winter Olympics for example, they use the phrase "sent a delegation to compete in the..." where as this one uses compete at the..." Is there a correct way to refer to competing at an Olympic Games or are both acceptable?
- Just a variation in phrasing, inconsequential given I also wrote those other two articles! Courcelles (talk) 19:17, 11 July 2018 (UTC)
Background
[edit]- "these [2006 Winter Olympics.", there's a loose bracket here.
- I saw that earlier and got rid of it, I think?
- Indeed, I go through the article marking notes in a separate app. Seems you got to this after I had noted it.
- There's an image available at Commons of the Algerian delegation at the opening ceremony, File:2010 Opening Ceremony - Algeria entering.jpg. Would be nice to include the image.
- That's from Vancouver, not Turin... Courcelles (talk) 19:14, 11 July 2018 (UTC)
- So it is, my mistake ignore that one. Kosack (talk) 19:20, 11 July 2018 (UTC)
Cross-country skiing
[edit]- Do we know why he didn't finish the event?
- Unfortunately, we don't. I added the range of the race he retired in, but that's all we know. Courcelles (talk) 19:24, 11 July 2018 (UTC)
A nicely written piece, very little that I can find fault with. All references appear correct and formatted perfectly. Just a few minor typos and queries. Placed on hold for now. Kosack (talk) 19:05, 11 July 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks for the review, Kosack. Going to go watch the second half... Courcelles (talk) 19:24, 11 July 2018 (UTC)
- No further concerns for this one, I'm happy that it meets the GA criteria. Promoting. Kosack (talk) 19:36, 11 July 2018 (UTC)
