Legally, all noble ranks were abolished in Germany in 1919 (except for strictly personal use under certain circumstances), so Goertz was not legally a Count (although he was allowed by German law to use the title as a private person). On the other hand, you seem to think that his brother´s death was a prerequisite for him to call himself a count, which is wrong, for according to German customs apparently all children of a Graf were themselves Grafen/Gräfinnen, not just the first-born. Also, there is but one single finding for "Zeppo Goertz" on Google: [1] : "I once encountered Count Albrecht “Zeppo” Goertz, the designer of the BMW 507..." Since this is written by David E. Davis jr., it has some credibility to it, but note that he writes "Zeppo", not Zeppo, so this could be a nickname rather than a second name. You inserted it, so it is up to you to prove it, but of course, this will probably be beneath you, as you´re inclined to slander other people´s sources without sourcing any of your own allegations. --328cia (talk) 21:43, 21 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
