[edit]How do I make this into a stub?
I intend to come back after, and add some stuff...including a history of the Alberta Report, and it's sister magazines, and it's owners and writers...
- I've removed some of the speculative commentary that seemed to cast aspersions without solid evidence, and replaced it with a more factual summary of the history as best I can determine it. --Michael Snow 06:31, 16 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit]There are numerous references that connect Ted and Link Byfield with the Alberta Report Magazine. The edits that have said otherwise have been replaced with prior text. c.f. http://www.thecanadianencyclopedia.com/index.cfm?PgNm=TCE&Params=M1ARTM0011899 http://www.ecpcenter.org/events/ignite_2006/speakers.php Fremte (talk) 16:02, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
Merging
[edit]The new article Impact of the Alberta Report has recently been created, via the Wikipedia:Canada Education Program, and since the article Alberta Report is only a stub, it seems reasonable to merge that content into this article. Mlm42 (talk) 07:06, 16 December 2011 (UTC)

here's a informative link to anyone wishing to update this page: http://archives.ucalgary.ca/files/lcr_archives/Alberta%20Report.pdf (in truth, much of this archive could be directly quoted into wikipedia - it's much more informative and a strong reference).
one thing i'd like to see corrected is the implication that company "closed" and did not pay employees. the above source states the report went into receivership, which would negate the implied criticism of taking the money and running. furthermore, to the reader that is unfamiliar with this subject matter, the reference to the citizens center report is meaningless. but the context implies that it is corporately connected to the magazine. this is not true, they were separate entities, but both linked to byfield.~~ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Newtonsghost (talk • contribs) 18:43, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
could use some tweeks- also have informative reference for addition.
