I will be reviewing this soon and it should take up to 4 days. Nice4What (talk · contribs) – (Thanks ) 19:01, 30 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Before starting, I'll give you a quick suggestion to use this tool to fix your references. Nice4What (talk · contribs) – (Thanks ) 19:08, 30 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox

[edit]
  • Specify the voting selection

Not done The infobox is not designed for this. Would be atypical.

Lede

[edit]
  • The lede is too short and doesn't fully summarize the article. Add a sentence about the song's placement and/or the voting process. Mention the song's final placement.
  • Any particular reason for choosing British English over American English? I see the word "organised".

Done This is a Europe-centric article so British English and dmy format are used.

Background

[edit]
  • Find an additional non-primary source about Albania's participation
  • "seventh place making the" → "seventh place, making the"
  • "second-highest placing to date"... what placement? The second-best placement within Albania's entries? It's not clear. This may also be irrelevant to the 2018 competition.
  • Missing citations and non-primary sources throughout this subsection.

Done Trimmed down a bit to be more relevant.

Before Eurovision

[edit]

Festivali i Këngës

[edit]
  • Alt text needed for picture.
  • Introduce Radio Televizioni Shqiptar as an Albanian public broadcaster.
  • Who is Adi Krasta? Need to introduce him with a nationality/occupation. Mention that Adi Krasta is the host in the prose.
  • Wikilink Adi Krasta as {{ill|Adi Krasta|sq}}.
  • Move "Previously in October 2017, the country had confirmed that Albania will participate at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018." to background subsection.
  • Mention the opening of submissions period first (Nov 2-10), and then explain the shortlist (Nov 13)
  • Source for the table of results?

Done Rewrote/reorganized section. Removed the table of 22 entries as it was duplicated by the semi-final tables.

Shows
[edit]
  • Remove wikilink to Radio Televizioni Shqiptar and abbreviate to RTSH, as done above.
  • "Italian singer and songwriter" → "Italian singer-songwriter"
  • Citation for the final results?

 Done

Promotion

[edit]
  • Remove wikilinks to "Mall", Eurovision Song Contest, and Eugent Bushpepa, already introduced above.
  • You can't use your interpretation of the music video as a reference. The sentences "The clip opens with shots of him sailing on the Aveiro River on a moliçeiro and enjoying the historical sights of Aveiro." and "It continues in a similar way and then shows him visiting the fishermen's houses, fish warehouses and the salt mines of Aveiro." need a new source or should be removed.
  • "including in Amsterdam" → "including Amsterdam"
  • Wikilink visa to Travel visa

Done Removed the interpretive first sentence and added a reference to the second sentence.

At Eurovision

[edit]
  • First paragraph needs non-primary sources. Should be easy to find.
  • "At the end of the show, it was announced..." What is it in this sentence?
  • Wikilink televoting

 Done

Voting

[edit]
  • "...awarding two sets of points from 1-8, 10 and 12: one from their professional jury and the other from televoting." Indicate which points are jury and which two are televoting.
  • "on: vocal capacity; the stage performance; the song's composition and originality; and the overall impression by the act." → "on vocal capacity, the stage performance, the song's composition and originality. and the act's overall impression."
  • Again, please find an additional non-primary source for rules.
  • Citation for the tables?
  • For the members of the Albanian jury, they are not listed in the source. Properly cite this PDF.
  • Citation for table, again.

Done Made these changes and merged into one section for better flow.

References

[edit]
  • Only the first citation should have a wikilink to European Broadcasting Union per WP:OVERLINK. Remove from Ref 2, 3, 19, 25, 27–33.
  • Use either the website or publisher parameter, not both. For example, ref 1 has the EBU has the publisher, so you don't list eurovision.tv as the website. URLs should not be listed in the website parameter either.
  • Publisher in Ref 4 should be [[Radio Televizioni Shqiptar|RTSH]], not a wikilink to a redirect
  • Publisher in Ref 9 should be Eurovoix. Remove website.
  • Language in Ref 9 and 11
  • Remove wikilink to Wiwibloggs from Ref 16 and 26.
  • Last name, First name on Ref 25 for consistency.

Done except changes to linking, as WP:OVERLINK does not apply to Citations per MOS:DL.

Reviewing process

[edit]
I'm not sure where @Iaof2017: has gone recently, but if he does not return in a few days to make these changes, let me know and I'd be happy to take over for him. Grk1011 (talk) 15:12, 4 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure how that works, and I was meant to fail this nomination a day ago. Nice4What (talk · contribs) – (Thanks ) 14:24, 7 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Well I offered to do this days ago. It doesn't look like much work to bring it up to GA and this article type is extremely familiar to me. I will work on it today and tomorrow. Grk1011 (talk) 15:20, 7 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hello @Nice4What: I wanted to apologise for not getting in touch with you, I can't manage to fix your comments due to schedule reasons ... It would be really really great if @Grk1011:, who has voluntarily agreed, to make the changes on this article. - And @Grk1011: Thank you so much, I appreciate that. God bless you!--Lorik17 (talk) 20:34, 8 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Nice4What: I believe I've addressed the concerns you listed above. Please let me know if there is anything else that needs attention. Thank you for your patience! Grk1011 (talk) 20:59, 16 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Nice4What: Checking in on this. Do you have any remaining issues for me to address? Thanks! Grk1011 (talk) 20:36, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Nice4What, there is no hard-and-fast rule about seven days having to be the time to respond to a GA review, and we always welcome other editors being willing to work on issues brought up during a review if the original nominator isn't around. Since the offer was made before the seven days were up and you haven't yet failed the nomination and it remains open and under review, the proper thing to do would be to continue with the review. If you aren't prepared or willing to do so, we can always look for a new reviewer to continue the process. Thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 03:30, 27 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Nice4What: Any update on this review? I've addressed the concerns you outlined above to the best of my abilities. This really should only need one more read through by you to finish up. Thanks! Grk1011 (talk) 15:04, 2 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Grk1011: I will finishing reviewing today, sorry about the wait! Nice4What (talk · contribs) – (Thanks ) 17:15, 2 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Passed. Congrats! Nice4What (talk · contribs) – (Thanks ) 22:12, 2 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
