Need fact check
[edit]I added references after the fact. They do not cover all the facts, needs fact check--FloNight 21:34, 19 December 2005 (UTC)
There is no mention of what restitution Eagleson made to players - surely a critical point — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.231.10.71 (talk) 14:06, 1 September 2012 (UTC)

Ontario MPP Box info
[edit]The "Ontario MPP" box on the right side says that AE was:
In office: 1963–1967
Preceded by: New riding
Succeeded by: Patrick Lawlor
What does "New riding" mean? It doesn't seem to be someone's name. Was it a "new district" or "newly created legislative opening" that didn't exist until that election cycle? Is "riding" some Canadian term for "ward" or "district"? If there is supposed to be a real name in there, maybe someone knows how to track down the correct information? Thank you. 50.177.91.141 (talk) 21:27, 26 April 2015 (UTC)
- Riding is a Canadian (and British) term for the electoral district that elected Eagleson. It was created prior to the 1963 election from parts of York West and York Humber. Eagleson was the first member elected to this riding so the term New riding is used to denote this fact. Follow the riding links for more information. - Thanks for confirming my suspicions. Even with your info, it took me a while to track down a wiki entry to explain it. Electoral_district_(Canada) seems to be the best. Do you agree? I am going to add that as a hot link to your revision in the article and "newly created" to the Lakeshore sentence. If there's a better link for "riding", I hope you'll fix it up. 50.177.91.141 (talk) 19:20, 3 May 2015 (UTC)
Infoboxes
[edit]I moved the politician infobox to the Politics section of the article because it represents only a minor portion of Eagleson's life and may mislead readers about the main notability (or notoriety) of Eagleson. I added an Infobox person at the top which better summarizes the content of this article. Feel free to edit the "known for" line. EncyclopediaUpdaticus (talk) 23:39, 26 April 2015 (UTC)
