- I think the content you added had some good points. However, according to WP:BLP, we must take particular care adding information about living persons to any Wikipedia page. Such material requires a high degree of sensitivity, and must adhere strictly to all of our content policies especially: Neutral point of view, Verifiability and No original research. Also, I feel some of your content was written in an un-encyclopedic/essay style. All these issues will be sorted if you can provide adequate citations.
Also, kindly discuss major content additions, moves etc. over here so as to get a consensus. Thanks, SPat talk 16:17, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

Guys i felt a lot of information was removed. Though it is true that is was written in non encyclopedic terms, it still was a lot of information. Poticecream (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 03:56, 16 July 2011 (UTC).

Requested move 24 October 2022
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No consensus. See no agreement below to alter the hyphen usage to an endash as proposed. Also, see enough participation after a relist to close this request. As is usual with a no-consensus outcome, editors may strengthen their arguments, discover new ones and try again in a few months to change this title. Thanks and kudos to editors for your input; everyone stay healthy! P.I. Ellsworth , ed. put'r there 06:11, 15 November 2022 (UTC)
Ajay-Atul → Ajay–Atul – Dashes are the right way, not hyphens. See Vishal–Shekhar and Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy. Kailash29792 (talk) 03:38, 24 October 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. — Amakuru (talk) 21:56, 3 November 2022 (UTC)
- Agree 24.62.29.97 (talk) 02:35, 26 October 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose. We shouldn't rely on what other Wikipedia articles are doing, since they could have it wrong too. When I search Ajay–Atul online, using the dash, the only results I find use hyphens. A hyphen also seems the correct choice to me grammatically, though perhaps someone else more familiar with this question can provide some input; I see no guidance in the MOS. It certainly doesn't seem to be an Engvar issue, since Indian sources like Times of India use the hyphen too. —Compassionate727 (T·C) 18:10, 27 October 2022 (UTC)
- It isn't an EngVar issue since there is Lennon–McCartney and Jagger–Richards. Also check the other entries in Category:Indian musical duos. Kailash29792 (talk) 20:00, 27 October 2022 (UTC)
- Some sources do use the en dash (e..g this book) and some use the spaced hyphen, which is another way to style the dash (e.g. this one). In general, there's zero signal about dash and hyphen issues in web hits, where typography is not a thing; books have a little bit of signal. Dicklyon (talk) 19:43, 6 November 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose The group is a single entity, and thus in fact the hyphen is what's called for. See also various RMs involving the names of German states like Talk:Baden-Württemberg#Requested move 25 October_2021 which failed to add en dashes for similar reasons. — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 07:19, 28 October 2022 (UTC)
- Support per MOS:DASH and WP:CONSISTENT. It is not a singular entity, by definition, but a duo (two people) whose names are being juxtaposed. That uses an en dash. — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 19:57, 5 November 2022 (UTC)
- Support per SMcCandlish. Two names are joined by an en dash, not a hyphen. Dicklyon (talk) 03:25, 6 November 2022 (UTC)
- Support—An en dash should be used. And the matter is settled if "some sources do use the en dash" (Dicklyon). Tony (talk) 21:45, 6 November 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose. This isn't a descriptive juxtaposition of two otherwise unrelated names, it's the actual name of the group, which is most often rendered with a hyphen (although I have also seen sources calling it just Ajay Atul with a space). As such, it should retain the hyphen. — Amakuru (talk) 08:44, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
- Those sources might be using the hyphen because their computers don't have dash keys. Kailash29792 (talk) 17:07, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
- Sure, lots of sources use hyphens or spaces in scenarios where Wikipedia would prefer a dash, but this isn't one of those cases because we don't prefer a dash here. The clause of MOS:DASH that I assume is being invoked in this RM is "In compounds when the connection might otherwise be expressed with to, versus, and, or between". But that applies to descriptive titles or those that are rendered as sentences. But this is a proper name of a duo, not a shorthand for "Ajay and Atul", and the fact that it's derived from the names of the two artists does not negate that proper name. — Amakuru (talk) 11:20, 12 November 2022 (UTC)
- Those sources might be using the hyphen because their computers don't have dash keys. Kailash29792 (talk) 17:07, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
