@Julia Domna Ba'al:

When an article has been archived, please use the parameter |archive-url= to give the url of the archive site, and |url= to give the original url.

In |website= (or its alias |work=) please give the name (not the domain, the name) of the original site. If this is not in English, you may add a translation of the name in parens after the original name.

When the title of the source is not in English, please use the parameter |trans-title:= to give a translated (English) version of the title. When the title is in a non-roman script, you may use |script-title= to give the original title in the original script, and use |title= for a romanization (aka a transliteration, not a translation) of the title.

When the name of the containing work (such as a website, magazine, or journal) is not in English, please use the parameter |trans-work= for a version of the name of the work translated into English. |script-work= is also available, it corresponds to |script-title=.

When the source itself is not in English, please use the |language= parameter to indicate the language(s) in which the source is written. ISO 639 language codes are preferred, but the full English name of the language may be used. No other abbreviations, please.

Using these makes the cited sources more useful to those who do not read the language of the source. Theyu are mo0re fully documented at {{cite web}} and the pages of the other citation templates. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 21:21, 30 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@DESiegel: got it. I will try to circumvent this whole process by procuring English language academic sources (will scour for books). Julia Domna Ba'al (talk) 21:24, 30 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
That would probably be very helpful, Julia Domna Ba'al, but when a non-English-language source is the best source, it should be used. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 21:31, 30 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
