Not Pith its' Wood

[edit]

The soft corky material is Wood (secondary-xylem) in nature... so far I know. Mistookenly it is sometimes thought as pith. I found one reference ( http://tropical.theferns.info/viewtropical.php?id=Aeschynomene+indica , see other-use ) , and finding better reference.
