Floating references to dates
[edit]The article has at least two references in the form "(see page #)" but WP does not carry pages numbered like that. The curiosity does not suggest considered and impartial editting and leads to suspicions that the text has been lifted from an online work such as a newspaper and that copyright issues could be involved.--SilasW (talk) 08:59, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
- Indeed. A google search for the passage "In July, 720 Somali volunteers were selected by Aden Hashi Farah "Eyrow" to travel to Lebanon to fight against the Israelis. Of those, only 80 returned to Mogadishu. In September, another 20 returned, along with five members of Hizbollah" produces three other hits. They all antedate this article. And they all include the strange (see page 12), (see page 24). Geo Swan (talk) 20:12, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
No age
[edit]Some indication of his age should have been given. One source gives d.o.b. as about 1976, by which time many Somalis' birthdays would have been recorded, those of earlier generations were often imprecise in day and month (unless they were in the state of being "only a girl", when the matter was considered too trivial to note.)--SilasW (talk) 08:59, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
- SilasW, I read somewhere last night that his approximate age was 35 years old (as of the time when he was killed). Which would be 1973 - 1974? As for the day and month, it didn't say. Therefore I didn't cite it as a reference in the InfoBox I created. Adamdaley (talk) 22:59, 7 July 2010 (UTC)

Aden Hashi Farah Aero → Aden Hashi Farah Ayro – Requesting that this page be moved from "Aden Hashi Farah Aero" to "Aden Hashi Farah Ayro" as the latter appears to be the most common spelling by reliable sources. - Question @Yamaguchi先生: do you have specific examples, search results, sources, etc. to show what you mean by "most common spelling by reliable sources"? Fredlesaltique (talk) 02:28, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
