Merge suggestion
[edit]Maybe this article should be merged with the article on 'Adelina Patty". Same person different spelling of the last name.
- In fact, the article on Adelina Patty is a Wikipedia:redirect to this article anyway. --Telsa (talk) 22:20, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
Mario
[edit]Does anyone have a fuller name or info on the Mario mentioned in the first paragraph of the "Personal life" section? Clearly it does not refer to the Mario linked. -- Infrogmation 16:10, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
February 10 or February 19?
[edit]There's always been some confusion about her birth date, and I don't profess to know which is correct. Google gives about the same number of hits for each date. This seems to point to her baptismal certificate, but it's 3rd hand information and very out of date. Can anyone shed light on this matter? -- JackofOz (talk) 08:44, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
- Hi, JackofOz. On some unrelated quest, I randomly found this: The Indianapolis journal, 7 April 1901, p. 14, col. 4 ('Musical Notes'), which says that according to the certificate found in the Madrid baptisms book No. 43, p. 153, Patti was born in the afternoon of Feb 10 1843. The date seems somewhat likely given this level of detail, so I'm going to make the change. >MinorProphet (talk) 17:34, 21 March 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you. -- Jack of Oz [pleasantries] 05:56, 17 July 2021 (UTC)
- If I knew that you and I were going to live forever, I would have waited seven more years before making some nonchalant remark on your belated thanks. However, Timor mortis conturbat me, as Wm. Dunbar surmised many centuries ago: thus this acknowledgement. MinorProphet (talk) 21:23, 18 July 2021 (UTC)

Years active
[edit]Unusually this article has an infobox. This has a field 'Years active', given as '1859-1906'. 1859 was her debut, that's clear. But what about 1906? What happened then? The article says she performed in public in 1914. Would it be better to remove the years active field altogether? --Kleinzach 11:30, 9 April 2013 (UTC) Done --Kleinzach 05:42, 13 April 2013 (UTC)

Assessment
[edit]This article is underreferenced, has an inadequate Lead and is not very comprehensive for an article about one of the most famous singers in history. It is, IMO, barely C-class. -- Ssilvers (talk) 06:15, 30 December 2023 (UTC)
