Three Best Sources...
[edit]...This is hard, @Kvng. How about:
- https://www.theguardian.com/books/booksblog/2012/jul/23/first-book-award-precocious
- https://me-pedia.org/wiki/Adam_Lowe Lewisguile (talk) 21:08, 15 November 2019 (UTC)
- @Lewisguile: We need to see coverage in multiple sources. Two articles in the Guardian counts as a single source. The third source is crowdsourced so is not considered reliable. Are there a couple more like the Guardian that you can bring to my attention? ~Kvng (talk) 13:24, 20 November 2019 (UTC)
- @Kvng: OK.

Awards
[edit]The Lambda Literary Awards are pretty prestigious. I have added this accolade back in. There's a link to it earlier in the article so I can't see that this unverified either.
I was initially unsure of the Eric Hoffer Award, but a quick Google points to Wikipedia (under Eric Hoffer) and I can see it's not a vanity prize. The only reference to such was an article arguing about a potentially racist book, where the author had also happened to win one of these awards in the YA category. Therefore, I think this argument is misguided. Maybe it's not notable, but then why does it appear on another Wikipedia page about the author?
If you have evidence to the contrary, I would be happy to discuss its merits here. Lewisguile (talk) 11:42, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
- I have removed mention of the award in the Eric Hoffer article there is no evidence that it is notable and it had only a primary source, until such time as an independent source discusses it in depth, it should be left out. Theroadislong (talk) 12:06, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
- He was only a finalist in the Lambda Literary Awards not a winner? So this is NOT an "accolade". Theroadislong (talk) 12:09, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
Thank you got clarifying. I agree with the reasoning now. I wasn't sure if it was a malicious edit. I am happy to undo my reversion.Lewisguile (talk) 08:53, 16 July 2020 (UTC)
