Statistics in Norway
[edit]While trying to update her stats in Norway, I struggled to find the correct stats for her time in Norway. NRK claims in this article that she scored 25 goals in 18 matches, while their top goalscorer list gives her 22 goals. Soccerway also got 25 goals in 18 matches, while altomfotball (TV 2's statistic-site) has 20 goals in 18 matches and her FAN profile got 24 goals. And that is only her stats for the 2012 Toppserien league, I haven't look at the cup for 2012 or the 2011 season at Kolbotn. The stats for 2010 seems impossible to find. Would the best thing be to remove the stats altogether, as it seems impossible to find the correct stats? Mentoz86 (talk) 08:56, 23 September 2013 (UTC)
- In this case I'd source the stats to the Norwegian FA, as that's where they seem to have come from when an IP introduced them into the article originally. Perhaps we could put in a footnote about the alternative stats from the other sources and let readers decide which they prefer. From a quick cross-reference I think NRK has attributed three of Ada's 2012 goals to Andrine (or the FA have attributed three of Andrine's goals to Ada). I suppose it's an easy mistake to make, as they've got the same surname and look a bit alike although Ada's apparently taller. Plus the old "it's only women's football – nobody cares" attitute is probably in evidence again. We could go down the road of trying to independently verify every appearance/goal which is in question, but we might be in danger of veering into WP:FANCRUFT and WP:OR territory. I don't see removing the stats altogether as an effective solution either. That's what we have to do when there are no reliable sources, but in this case there are plenty of reliable sources, they just say slightly different things. So I guess it's about presenting them side-by-side and giving them due weight. Clavdia chauchat (talk) 20:08, 23 September 2013 (UTC)
- I asked her on Twitter and she answered that 24 goals is correct, so I'll go with your solution and use the FAN profile (even though the stats for the 2011 and 2012 season currently in the article are from her altomfotball-profile), and perhaps include a note like suggested. If I'm bothered, I'll send an e-mail to TV 2 and NRK to get them to correct the stats. Thanks for your input. Mentoz86 (talk) 15:59, 25 September 2013 (UTC)

prolific scorer/claim
[edit]There reads: A prolific scorer, Ada has averaged more than a goal a game at every level of club competition.
There are four clubs listed, and only the last one is true to that claim. I'd like to know what was meant with that, if it was something else? 188.238.97.156 (talk) 09:03, 14 June 2019 (UTC)
