Lambousa Treasure

[edit]

This article is about the monastery and its buildings, and the treasure has its own article, see First Cyprus Treasure. However, people looking here might find the reference useful: it is an important find from the immediate area. --Shirazibustan (talk) 08:20, 24 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Military uses

[edit]

As a matter of fact, the Greek army and/or their allies were based in the place in the 1970s. It was not an active and independent monastery at the time and, as I understand it, was under the jurisdiction of the Greek Bishop of Kyrenia.--Shirazibustan (talk) 20:07, 20 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Petermann ?

[edit]

Is the reference to Petermann this? A. Fullarton & Co, Augustus Herman Petermann, and George H. Swanston. Turkey: Central Mediterranean Regions. Eane Collection. Edinburgh, London & Dublin: A. Fullarton & Co, 1856. Perhaps somebody can provide the reference. --Shirazibustan (talk) 08:15, 24 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
