I live in Essex in England, UK and I have one in my back garden, planted by the former owner who was Australian and looks and grows beautifully.

From the article: "Wattles have been extensively introduced into New Zealand and are regarded by many New Zealanders as one of the most typical features of their home landscape." This is not true I doubt people here consider it a typical feature of the landscape. Onco_p53 03:23, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This plant is also abundunt in India and Pakistan
