Percentage of Pregnancies Resulting in Abortions
[edit]This article implies that all pregnancies end in either a live birth or an abortion, and provides no stats on miscarriage. I don't have the stats, but this should be corrected. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:586:4104:273D:3032:F6ED:421A:1D33 (talk) 02:37, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
Orphanages
[edit]There should be some article about Romanian orphanages but I only find Nobody's Child: Romanian Angel Appeal. --Error (talk) 22:25, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
Legal status prior comunist rule
[edit]In times of monarchy abortion was banned in Romania, and tesis that communist government banned abortion in manipulation. Source is POV - author want to make clear that ban of abortion was element of communist ideology (it's ironically that legal abortion was first realized by communists). Updating communist regime section
[edit]Hello! I just wanted to say here that I intend on adding more detailed information about abortion during Ceauşescu's regime based on Gail Kligman's research on the subject. The information I intend to add will be shown in my sandbox while I edit it should anyone want to read and comment on it. If you have any comments, suggestions, or opinions on my work, I would really appreciate hearing it! Scb3 (talk) 02:59, 19 March 2012 (UTC)
- I don't understand the statement "In 1980, it became obligatory to have children." I think expansion on this statement would be beneficial - through laws? Social views? Cultural views? Also, a specific date range on the 'society' spoken about in the "Enforcement and its effects" subsection would be helpful to readers. Thank you for your addition to the page! - You are not the first to mention that sentence. Unfortunately, the source I have did not give me any further information other than implying that it was a legal obligation (though she did not state this outright). I will see what I can do about finding more information on that bit. I will also include a date range, as I agree, it would definitely help with context. Thanks for the comments!Scb3 (talk) 05:35, 11 April 2012 (UTC)
