The result of the move request was: moved. Specifically:
- Abdur Razzaq (politician) moved to Abdur Razzaq (Awami League politician)
- Abdur Razzaq (barrister) moved to Abdur Razzaq (Jamaat-e-Islami politician)
Participants agreed with the underlying principle behind the moves, but found the inclusion of "Bangladeshi" in the original proposal to be excessive WP:PRECISION; consequently, the above DABs achieved consensus as a compromise.
- Abdur Razzaq (Taliban Interior Minister) moved to Abdur Razzaq (Taliban official)
- Abdul Razzaq (Taliban governor) to be merged into the above
Consensus that these articles are likely duplicate articles about a single underlying subject. (closed by non-admin page mover) ModernDayTrilobite (talk • contribs) 14:45, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
- Abdur Razzaq (politician) → Abdur Razzaq (Bangladeshi Awami League politician)
- Abdur Razzaq (barrister) → Abdur Razzaq (Bangladeshi Jamaat-e-Islami politician)
- Abdur Razzaq (Taliban Interior Minister) → Abdur Razzaq (Taliban government minister)
- Abdul Razzaq (Taliban governor) → Redirect/merge with the other Taliban official
– Disambiguation and avoiding uppercase position description. Both of the Taliban articles say they are about a former Taliban Minister of the Interior of Afghanistan, but the list of such ministers says there is only one with a similar name, so I suspect they are duplicate articles about the same person. Maybe the barrister article should stay where it is, but I think it is worth noticing that he fits the definition of a politician, having held a high position in a political party. — BarrelProof (talk) 07:56, 14 August 2023 (UTC)
- Move first two to Abdur Razzaq (Awami League politician) and Abdur Razzaq (Jamaat-e-Islami politician). "Bangladeshi" is unnecessary. If the other two are the same person, then merge and probably rename to Abdur Razzaq (Taliban official), which seems to be more general. -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:26, 15 August 2023 (UTC)
- Good suggestions; I have no objection to those refinements. — BarrelProof (talk) 17:04, 15 August 2023 (UTC)

- Abdur Razzaq (Awami League politician) → Abdur Razzaq (politician, born 1942)
- Abdur Razzaq (Barrister) → Abdur Raazzaq (politician, born 1949)
- Abdur Razzaque → Abdur Raazzaq (artist)
– The previous move request failed to clear the incomplete disambiguation issues that seem to inevitably plague Arabic name articles, as Abdur Razzaq (Faridpur politician) is also from the Awami League. The barrister article was boldly moved back claiming "The person in question is no longer affiliated with Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami", which may or may not be true but in any case (barrister) is incomplete disambiguation since "barrister" just means lawyer Abdur Razzaq (Awami League politician) among others were also lawyers. "Jamaat-e-Islami" may still be correct but it's probably best to respect the principle behind that move and disambiguate the second politician by year of birth to match the first one. Finally, the primary topic status of the artist Abdur Razzaque relative to the many other people with this name is dubious. * Pppery * it has begun... 16:32, 24 March 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. - Support Abdur Razzaq (Awami League politician) → Abdur Razzaq (politician, born 1942). Move Abdur Razzaq (Barrister) → Abdur Razzaq (lawyer, born 1949). He is better known as a lawyer rather than a politician and I can't see evidence that he commonly uses the other spelling. Move Abdur Razzaque → Abdur Razzaque (artist). This spelling seems to be the common one. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:57, 26 March 2024 (UTC)
- Relisting comment: I would like to see more discussion on whether politician or lawyer is more correct for the second proposed move. Bensci54 (talk) 17:06, 1 April 2024 (UTC)
- On that issue I have no opinion. If this goes another seven days with no comments then close as moved to (lawyer) since the only person who expressed an opinion preferred it. * Pppery * it has begun... 17:22, 1 April 2024 (UTC)
