Question on text
[edit]It is claimed that the abbey was "disestablished 1539". What does this mean, please? It seems it didn't close, as later abbots can be named. Granted the role changed as it became a seminary, and the orders of religious involved changed. It seems to me that closure of the abbey followed the French Revolution, 250 years after 1539. Now, much reduced, a parish church. ShropshirePilgrim (talk) 23:58, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
