Main song
[edit]What does "main song" mean? john k 04:19, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
How about some mention of the implicit sexual metaphors which pervade the entire song.

International translations removed
[edit]I don't know what the point of having a dozen international translations of the song title and respective non-notable performers were in the English Wikipedia; basicly it was trivia in this context and I have removed that section. If someone wants to justify why it should be added back and provide similar (song) articles here on Wikipedia to help support inclusion, please feel free make a case for it here on the talk page. Mandarin translation
[edit]It sounds to me like "看这世界" rather than something about floating duckweed...but then, I am a 大鼻子 and am therefore likely mistaken. Can anyone else confirm or deny the translation offered in the article? Sophy's Duckling 21:38, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
Luther Vandross and Vanessa Williams
[edit]Should the piece about Luther Vandross and Vanessa Williams performing a cover in the song be present? It is not mentioned in either of the Luther Vandross or Vanessa L. Williams articles or in any cited article on the internet that I could find. Is it possible that people confused Luther and Vanessa with Peabo Bryson and Regina Belle? All four are African American and sing similar styles of music so it is quite likely that may have happened. Can someone please confirm or disprove this? Alex 06:53, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
Single version vs. characters' version?
[edit]Which of them is considered the more known version - the one people are more likely to recognize? For example, which singing couple (of the original two) is more often called to do a live version of the song? -79.178.89.10 (talk) 12:15, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
Personnel
[edit]The guitar solo was actually by Michael Landau, but some idiot just put the Katie Price on it. Can she play the guitar at that time? She's just a goddamn model. Stop doing the deliberate vandalizing, fool. Key and modulation
[edit]I've seen the score of this music. It's in D major, modulating later on to F major. However, I don't have any web sources.Jasper Deng (talk) 05:29, 12 March 2011 (UTC)
- Unless there are reliable sources specifically discussing the key and modulation, this is trivial information that has no place in the article anyway. - SummerPhD (talk) 13:28, 12 March 2011 (UTC)

Wrong Article Link in the International Versions Singer List
[edit]The list in the article lists Lee Jeong Hwa as the singer of Jasmine in the Korean version of this song, and the link for the Korean language article of Lee Jeong Hwa seems to link to a Professor of Engineering at a German university (according to Google Translate), that sounds like there's something wrong there. Not sure how to change that, so I thought I'd bring attention to that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 42.191.43.155 (talk) 18:37, 16 June 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you for pointing it out, I removed it. Ninahi8 (talk) 12:32, 17 June 2019 (UTC)
