"Vietnamese script"
[edit]There is no such thing as a "Vietnamese script". The script for the Vietnamese language is a derivative of the Latin script. DHN 00:22, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
- Furthermore, the names mentioned in this article are not written in proper Vietnamese. They all have their tone marks amputated. DHN 00:25, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
Publishing date
[edit]According to the article, this book was published in 2001. Yet it received the 1993 Pulitzer Prize? DHN 00:27, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
In 2001 Robert Olen Butler re-released the book with the addition of a few new stories.
Based on fact?
[edit]Are the stories based on actual stories of real people the author has met/interviewed? Badagnani 03:50, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
Billy Idol
[edit]The title has the same rhythm as "a nice day for a white wedding" by Billy Idol. Pure chance? 62.64.206.99 (talk) 00:14, 10 December 2008 (UTC)
Table of Contents Incorrect
[edit]Doing a critical entry on this work, and found two stories unlisted on this page. Per google books @ https://books.google.com/books?id=sM0Nh5hHPA4C&printsec=frontcover&source=gbs_ge_summary_r&cad=0#v=onepage&q&f=false there is a story called "Relic" and one called "Preparation," both of which are unmentioned entirely in the article. It appears they were present in the 1992 original based on a review of the 1992 edition in The Sewanee Review, 100.4, fall 1992. And they are also in the 2012 edition (linked above) so why are they not addressed here? It's a shame that the page for a Pulitzer winner is in such a state of disrepair. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 165.166.109.10 (talk) 17:05, 4 May 2015 (UTC)
