All below threads were originally located at User talk:Esemono/aXXo but thought they'd be more useful here:

aXXo is currently been deleted and salted by wikipedia admin staff as shown in this 2007 September deletion log. It also has been denied creation rights. To create the article numerous reliable sources are needed to meet the WP:BIO criteria for Wikipedia:Notability. In an effort to create an article with numerous reliable sources I've created this page to get the ball rolling. Add and edit the info if you have more information, or just participate in the discussion.

Unfortunately, that means that Axxo fails the notability test in its current form. If you'd like to challenge this by advancing your argument above, you might want to take this to Wikipedia:Deletion review. -- The Anome 09:03, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

this is kinda bizarre, you're like asking the church choir in the 40s whether they have ever heard of Elvis Presley. Notability should held against one's own world ... the notability of David Beckham is debatable in redneck america, I surely cannot name even one american rugby player, so there. Axxo is perhaps the most notable figure in the p2p world of today and legality does not come into this. There are several highly illegal criminals with separate articles on wikipedia, some even with categories, so ... saying that Axxo fails the notability test goes against WP:conssistency ... -- Brian Tjoe-Nij 14:58, 7 December 2007
The best you can do is link to articles on sites like [www.rlslog.net rlslog], but wikipedia editors PROBABLY won't accept these. aXXo really is a popular figure in filesharing. His/her hiatus of DVD rips was a big deal: I know about it and I don't even share files! --Darthfredd (talk) 05:52, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
nice work on getting this page revived Chrisdab (talk) 23:55, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
I'm utterly shocked that there is not a page for Axxo. The above arguments more the suffice to revive this page. Furthermore, the name Axxo, be him a person or not, is much more notable than, say, Leeroy Jenkins, a much less known internet "celebrity". With millions of people downloading his stuff every day (albeit illegally) surely a page is know in order. Wikipedia has tons of pages with waaay more obscure stuff that no-one cares about.193.136.128.19 (talk) 23:59, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
I read the article with great interest. aXXo was undoubtedly a notable Internet phenomenon. He was a Robin Hood or a Ned Kelly in the premier league of video piracy. He ultimately delivered entertainment to millions of p2p users, at any given time during his active “career”, free of any cost other than bandwidth. Whilst the entertainment industry would have celebrated his departure, it must still be still suffering from lost profits through aXXo’s illegal actions. Founded information, even educated estimates of the actual annual damage to the industry could heighten the potential and relevance of the article. Having links incorporated that lead to related articles that are in question and in need of improvements themselves doesn’t help the argument. Due to the underground nature of the subject some sources are eyebrow-raisers at best. Who knows whether that interview ever happened?
aXXo, RIP. -- Dr-Victor-von-Doom 02:45, 23 July 2008 (UTC)
Completely absolutely idiotic that aXXo doesn't have a page on wikipedia. The uni bomber would have had a page on wikipedia if wikipedia would have existed before we knew who he was. And there's so much information that could be put about axxo even though we don't know who he is. Blindside70 (talk) 00:48, 25 July 2008 (UTC)Chris

Create page?

I have reworded, finetuned, demystified, restructured and disenchanted the article over the recent weeks. I have also added stats and snapshots of Google and Mininova. I don't think I can do much better without any other reliable sources. Do you think it is time to give it another go? What do you think? -- Dr-Victor-von-Doom 17:29, 16 August 2008 (EST)

Yeah do it. Start the page. -- Esemono (talk) 07:32, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
OK I've created the page, lets see how long it lasts. -- Esemono (talk) 02:48, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
Can you fix the formatting of my references, please? Thanks, DVvD, 14:14, 19 August (EST)
Sorry man, I might have inadvertently overwritten some of your stuff... DVvD, 14:54, 19 August (EST)
