- No idea, but that's not the focus of this article. According to Joint Electronics Type Designation System, the P stands for portable and the S and Q stand for special/combination. Since the numbers are assigned sequentially by the type of equipment (in this case, night vision devices). I see you've added a number of "PSQ-#" red links to List of military electronics of the United States but do you even know if they exist? ≈ Chamal talk ¤ 01:30, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
