I'll try to get to this over the weekend. Hog Farm Talk 18:12, 8 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • "The regiment was formed at Pensacola in May 1861 shortly after the American Civil War began from units raised across the state" - recommend rephrasing as it's a bit of misplaced modifier that could be read as suggesting that the war began from units raised across the state
  • Eliminated the last clause entirely as lack of a regional identity wasn't a defining characteristic of the unit
  • No need to link Patton Anderson in back to back sentences
  • Done
  • Are there any additional details about what they were armed with, since the proposal to change armament is mentioned? It's mentioned muskets, but do the source state whether they were using junk flintlocks like Zollicoffer's people were at Fishing Creek, or was it more modern percussion muskets
  • Stephens describes having to manually unload muskets by "drawing the load out," though I'm not sure how much that helps pin down what they were issued. Explicitly, he only mentions receiving muskets and 20 rounds at Pensacola. Bragg's troops at Pensacola were better armed than Zollicoffer's, but I can't assume anything
  • Spot-checked the Allardice 1995 cite, checks out
  • Neither of the sources about Shiloh I have (Cunningham and Sword) mention this unit; the article appears to be comprehensive
  • Images are fine

Not much to pick on, placing on hold. Hog Farm Talk 02:44, 10 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
