Nice work!
[edit]Thanks for this article, we don't have nearly enough coverage of the DSS at Wiki yet. Shalom. Alastair Haines 06:59, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
actual text
[edit]any ideas where to find the actual hebrew texts of the scroll published?--108.21.120.144 (talk) 20:48, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
Book title
[edit]"According to Hanne von Weissenberg’s book, 4QMMT: Reevaluating the text, the function, and the meaning of the epilogue, it maintains..." This appears to refer to a book by its title, but it is hard to distinguish the actual title. Shouldn't book titles appear in italics, with the appropriate capitalization? Apparent contradiction
[edit]"From 1959, 4QMMT was worked on alone by John Strugnell. In 1979 he co-opted Hebrew scholar Elisha Qimron on to the team to assist him in completing it." The second sentence seems to contradict the first, by implying that a team existed. Also, the definition of co-opt refers to an action performed jointly by several people, not one. "Recruit" might be more appropriate, unless the team actually did act jointly, in which case, "he" ought not to be the subject. (I'm going to change "on to" to "onto".) Also, if by the time of Qimron's arrival, the work was actually being performed by a team, "him" isn't appropriate, either. Funfree (talk) 14:16, 30 May 2014 (UTC)
