Title
[edit]Is this long name really the ideal article title? Might something more succinct exist? See WP:TITLE, especially WP:RECOGNIZABLE and WP:PRECISE. --Animalparty-- (talk) 18:10, 13 October 2014 (UTC)
- In a word, no. The identification of lifeboat classes up to the 1960s always included the length as boats were often identified by the designer of the basic hull form which was built in different lengths. For the Self-righters, motor is added to distinguish from the pulling and sailing boats, while the length is needed to differentiate between 40ft, 35ft and 35ft 6in Self-righters. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ambak51 (talk • contribs) 12:40, 14 October 2014 (UTC)
