Occult Significance
[edit]Would someone please add the significance of the 33rd parallel. It is critically important since JFK, and Roosevelt both died at this specific geographic location - at least around this region of high occult powers. Also, the pyramids are located at the 33rd parallel, and so is the rumoured Atlantis of antiquity.
- Unlikely. We'd need a reputable source for that. Good luck! - Crosbiesmith 08:52, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
- I recently read something interesting about the 33rd parallel. I doubt that it is reputable as the author continually mentioned star gates in an off hand manner as if their existence is taught in schools. But it is a fact that it is a part of underground (I don't know what to call it) theory(?). I Among other things he mentioned that many pyramid and mound building cultures lived along the 33rd parallel, that some notable UFO encounters have taken place along it (like Roswell) and that the number 33 has significance for free masons. Wikipedia does have an article about things like the moon landing hoax accusations. Though that is arguably more notable based on the popularity of the theory. I don't know what the standard has been in the past. I do believe it's possible to include the information in a way that simply states that there are people who attach significance to the number but that the idea has no real scientific backing. I don't know, there are books like "Underground!: The Disinformation Guide to Ancient Civilizations, Astonishing Archaeology And Hidden History" which are a source but, I mean, as fun as they are to read, are arguably written by crazy people. Again, I don't really know what the standard has been in the past. I know that lots of things mentioned in the book above have gotten mention on wikipedia. The theories about the offshore, under water "structures" at Yonaguni, Japan (built by pre-ice age civilizations) and Mahabalipuram, India (same concept) have gotten a mention at the least. Okay, I'll leave it at that.--Matt D (talk) 18:54, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
Yeah it's just a coincidence that 33rd degree mason and 33rd president Harry Truman, chose to drop the atomic bomb on two locations not only adjacent to the 33rd parallel and also had a high christian population. It also a coincidence that the Columbia (goddess of the occult) space shuttle was obliterated on the 33rd parallel. It's also a coincidence that the 2nd Iraq war began on the 33rd parallel of Baghdad. Kruger1191 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 06:06, 3 December 2010 (UTC).
- I did find this source here. I added it earlier today, only to be reverted after a few hours. Any thoughts? Mizzou1993 (talk) 04:14, 19 November 2015 (UTC)
- That is not a reliable source. See WP:RS. Bazonka (talk) 07:25, 19 November 2015 (UTC)
Supposedly the fallen angels came to earth at Mount Herman on 33rd parallel — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2607:FB90:B1C:8F79:E039:7987:BE61:D855 (talk) 07:16, 2 April 2017 (UTC)
Both Dallas and the Little White House (deathplaces for JFK and Roosevelt) are at 32 degrees, and the vast majority of presidents died nowhere near the 33rd. Pyramids are mentioned but the 33rd parallel doesn't pass through Egypt, Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras or El Salvador. Hiroshima is at 34 degrees and Nagasaki at 32 degrees. Columbia disintegrated south of the 33rd parallel, possibly above Nacogdoches, at 31°36′N. But even if significant events could be shown to have happened at 33°N, I'm sure just as many (and probably more) could be shown for other latitudes. Plus, why no mention of 33°S?
