- Thanks for creating this page. Came to it to learn something today. Given what the article says about mail-in ballots only for the Dem. party input on presidential candidates, it is pretty evident that the national Democratic party wanted to emasculate the traditional Iowa caucuses from having any outsize power in the Dem. candidata selection process.
