Party descriptor for endorsements
[edit]Hi all, what is the best practice for labeling party affiliation for non-partisan elections?
For partisan elections, I know the norm is to label party endorsements from individuals of a different party than the candidate. In line with that, I added a note to each of David Holt's endorsements from members of the Democratic Party. Is it necessary or the norm to label the party of endorsements from the candidate's same party in a nonpartisan election? In this specific case, the question is do we need to label Republicans who endorsed Holt as Republican since this is a nonpartisan election or do we follow the same norm as partisan elections and only label endorsements from other party members? Holt is a member of the Republican Party. Thanks for any input! --TulsaPoliticsFan (talk) 21:17, 11 July 2022 (UTC)
