Score of Bingham-Lilley match invisible
[edit]The score of the Bingham-Lilley match has been entered by someone but does not show in the table (on my screen), and I have not been able to find the cause: it does not seem to be very obvious. Can a tables-expert help?Redav (talk) 22:21, 18 October 2022 (UTC)

Lead
[edit]No issues with the lead there.
Format
[edit]- ...Eurosport in the United Kingdom, Europe, India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka - Wouldn't this make sense to just go the Indian Subcontinent. Or something that mentions it being on Eurosport India like the reference states.
- Could remove the Superstar online and the Sports Cast red link like it has been done with the Indonesian channel.
Summary
[edit]Qualification
[edit]- ...recovered from 2–3 behind to defeat Graeme Dott 4–3 - Possibly reword that sentence.
- Having recently turned 60, Jimmy White made... - Do we need to include he had just turned 60 especially when it only mentioned the age and not how it was recently turn 60.

Qualifying
[edit]- Why use a separate reference for the qualifying when the reference for the main draw would also be sufficient to fill in that void.

- sorry for another ping, is there anything else I'd need to look at here HawkAussie? Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 20:40, 8 June 2024 (UTC)
- Lee Vilenski and HurricaneHiggins, it looks like HawkAussie has only had middling activity on Wikipedia in the last few months. This review is getting quite old, and at this point I'd suggest either setting it to second opinion or relisting it. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 21:25, 27 June 2024 (UTC)
- I'm going to relist since this was abandoned. Wizardman 02:17, 13 July 2024 (UTC)

Jumping in because this has sat way, way too long. Not much to do. Pinging joint nom HurricaneHiggins. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 06:01, 15 July 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Sammi Brie, thanks for your review and your suggested edits. What is "CINS"? HurricaneHiggins (talk) 09:18, 16 July 2024 (UTC)
- Sorry, I see you're referring to commas there. I've made all the edits you suggested ... thank you! HurricaneHiggins (talk) 09:36, 16 July 2024 (UTC)
- Yeah, WP:CINS. It's an error I tend to find a lot of in these pages (and I only review one a drive!). Going to let @Lee Vilenski take a look quickly before I promote. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 14:23, 16 July 2024 (UTC)
- Great, thank you so much, @Sammi Brie! And I will look for that comma error when editing pages. HurricaneHiggins (talk) 10:13, 17 July 2024 (UTC)

Did you know? If you fancy doing so, I always have plenty of GA nominees to review. Just look for the all-uppercase titles in the Television section. Reviews always appreciated.

[edit]Lead
[edit]- The win gave Allen the seventh ranking title of his career, and qualified him for the following month's Champion of Champions invitational event. Here's the first CINS
Summary
[edit]- Three top-16 seeds failed to reach the round of 64: Seventh seed No need to capitalize "seventh"
- O'Sullivan commented afterwards that he no longer had "passion and desire" for snooker, and that it had "become like an emotionless-type job". Remove comma CINS
- Higgins responded with a 69 clearance to tie the scores, and then made a 124 break in the decider Remove comma CINS
- Sixth seed Higgins lost 1–4 to Robert Milkins, who took a 3–1 lead by winning the fourth frame on a respotted black, before clinching the match with a 63 break in the fifth. Remove second comma: not an appositive.
- Lee tied the scores with a 91 break in frame six, but missed a key pot on the black in the decider CINS (Anything with no reasoning from here on out is CINS)
- Robertson won the fifth frame with an 84 break, and made a break of 63 in the sixth.
- Selby had an opportunity to steal the sixth frame with a clearance, but opted to lay a snooker on the final red due to the difficulty of gaining position on the black.
- However, he missed several opportunities to close out the match and Zhou made breaks of 63 and 54 to draw level at 4–4. Add comma after match
- McGill responded with a 73 break in the sixth after Zhou missed a red, and made a 101 break in the seventh to move 4–3 ahead.
- McGill had the chance to force a decider in the tenth, but missed a shot on the blue.
- "If I win [the tournament], I will be happy to have made my dream come true", said Zhou, but added "It is important to not get under pressure, this is no good. You have to not think about the trophy and just play". Change "but added" to "who added"
- Jimmy White and Ronnie O'Sullivan criticised the warning in commentary, noting that other players had spent significantly longer over shots without the referee intervening, including a previous incident involving Scullion at the 2019 event, when Selby spent over six minutes on a shot without being warned. Consider splitting long sentence
- Allen made breaks of 53, 85, 50, and 51 to move 8–4 ahead, before making a 109 clearance to win his eighth consecutive frame and clinch the title with a 9–4 victory. Remove comma after "ahead"
