Coat of arms

[edit]

@User:Yakme Some coats of arms, generated by the apposite templates, are wrong, like the Lombard one, which has a square shape and is not a shield. I think that rather than having an incorrect representation of the coat of arms, it is better not to have them at all. Scia Della Cometa (talk) 09:24, 23 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This is solved by changing the template, not by what you did. Yakme (talk) 09:29, 23 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Also, why not just use the flags instead of the coats of arms? Yakme (talk) 09:29, 23 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
See also Lombardy where the same coat of arms is displayed. Yakme (talk) 09:31, 23 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
However, until the problem is fixed, it's best to have no logo at all (odering isn't a big deal to me, anyway). Effectively, the coat of arm shown in Lombardy is also wrong.--Scia Della Cometa (talk) 09:38, 23 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
We can have the 2022 Italian local election results table show a slightly incorrect logo for a day or two, until the issue is solved automatically without having to go back and forth with versions of the table. No big deal. Yakme (talk) 09:41, 23 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@User:Yakme I have mentioned Lombardy, but it is not the only case: Piedmont, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Sardinia, Abruzzo, their coats of arms are all wrong.--Scia Della Cometa (talk) 09:45, 23 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Then this is a good opportunity to correct Template:Coat of arms for all Italian regions! No need to change the table here, just change the template, this is how this should work. Yakme (talk) 09:47, 23 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
