Page name
[edit]The present page name Next Belizean general election is better worded as 2020 Belizean general election. For examples of future-date scheduled events, see:
- 2019 United States elections (scheduled for November 2019)
- 2019 Israeli legislative election (in two different months)
- April 2019 Israeli legislative election (past event)
- September 2019 Israeli legislative election (future date)
So I'm performing the move as conforming with the abovementioned similar pages. -- Deborahjay (talk) 14:08, 11 August 2019 (UTC)
- I'm not sure it's a good idea. The practise here is to use "Next" when there is doubt over the election year, and only use a year once the exact date has been called (See current election article for UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, etc) OR when it simply isn't the sort of election that can be called early, like in the US. Considering there is doubt over an early election, as stated in the article, the previous title was fine. --Aréat (talk) 15:18, 11 August 2019 (UTC)
- The year is only included in the article title when the date of the election is known for certain. Hence why we have Next United Kingdom general election, Next German federal election etc. Number 57 10:21, 14 August 2019 (UTC)
