I think the template that is used in the Italian regional elections pages should be changed or not used at all. It is quite ugly in my opinion, its usage is not properly documented, and I think it's not planned to be maintained. In fact the Template:Election box page does not even mention the templates here used, i.e. Template:Election box begin for list seats and Template:Election box party for list seats. There is a reason why these old and ugly templates are used here, and the reason is that these are the only ones containing columns for the number of seats (I guess the Election box templates were thought mainly for UK and US results for single constituencies, were FPTP is the system). I think there are various solutions: 1) use the nice Template:Election box candidate with party link, and renounce to the seats; 2) upgrade the templates used here directly in the template pages, in order to make them consistent with the nice ones (difficult and risky); 3) create custom tables for these lists; 4) transclude the tables from each regional election article. I like 1) and 3), have doubts on 2) and don't like 4). Are there comments or other suggestions? --Ritchie92 (talk) 23:14, 19 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
