Move or reorganize
[edit]As it currently is, much of this article is about the system that spawned the tornado, rather than the tornado itself. So I think we should considered two options: reorganize this article to focus primarily on the Dallas tornado with other information relegated to a "Meteorological Synopsis" section, or move it to Tornado outbreak of October 20–21, 2019 and give the Dallas tornado a section in it. TornadoLGS (talk) 20:03, 22 January 2020 (UTC)
- I was already planning on making an overarching outbreak article and giving the Dallas tornado its own section when I'm finished updating NCEI for October, so I advocate for that option. 🌧❄ϟ TropicalAnalystwx13 (talk · contributions) 00:00, 23 January 2020 (UTC)
- See Draft:Tornado outbreak of October 20–22, 2019. If someone wants to start Dallas' section, go ahead. 🌧❄ϟ TropicalAnalystwx13 (talk · contributions) 02:59, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
- This current article is dreadful so I support that option of moving it into a section on an outbreak page as well. United States Man (talk) 03:44, 23 January 2020 (UTC)
- I've added a Dallas EF-3 Tornado section, adding and editing what I could. It is more of a copy and paste job, so if anything is wrong, by all means fix my horrid attempt at first draft. And any tips on how to write it better in the future are appreciated. Such as copying and pasting the citations. Still a bit lost on that no matter how much I read the Wiki article on how to.. do I copy and paste from the references from the 2019 Dallas Tornado article to the Outbreak article? I think I bungled that bit. So please, by all means, correct any mistake I just made. SageSolomon (talk) 07:05, 15 February 2020 (UTC)
Official Move Vote
[edit]After 5 days (02:45, 30 January (UTC)) of voting the article will stay or will be moved to Draft:Tornado outbreak of October 20–22, 2019
Move Evidence stated above show the article should be moved. Elijahandskip (talk) 02:45, 25 January 2020 (UTC)
Comment Per WP:NOTDEM this shouldn't come down to a vote. There already seems to be a consensus to move this article. I would favor simply redirecting this page once the outbreak draft is moved to the mainspace, as otherwise we'd likely end up deleting and then recreating the redirect. TornadoLGS (talk) 02:56, 25 January 2020 (UTC)
- Don't move this article to a draft. The new outbreak page should be written first and then this can be moved into it. This "move vote" seems a bit overzealous and out of line with policy. United States Man (talk) 04:56, 26 January 2020 (UTC)
