creation of Ju-Air article
[edit]There was an interwikilink in the opening paragraph, but there was no article to link to. Shall I ask for one to be created?126.209.10.119 (talk) 18:53, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
- You could ask here. Or submit a draft yourself. But small companies are not usually considered sufficiently notable. Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 19:37, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
- Well, if we don't think Ju-Air deserves an article, then the red link should be removed too. --Deeday-UK (talk) 21:37, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
- They've been around for over 30 years, so should be capable of sustaining an article. I expect the crash to be reported in magazines such as Aeroplane and Flypast, which may include some background info on Ju-Air. Mjroots (talk) 09:02, 8 August 2018 (UTC)
- My local butcher has been around since 1864, so maybe could they have one? Although admittedly, they’ve never had an Airworthiness Certificate and they do limit passengers to six at a time. Martinevans123 (talk) 13:26, 8 August 2018 (UTC)
- I suspect that there is probably enough coverage of Ju-Air in the years in enthusiast magazines such as Aeroplane, Flypast and the old Aircraft Illustrated to sustain a short article that gets past GNG.Nigel Ish (talk) 17:24, 8 August 2018 (UTC)
- I certainly wouldn't object in principle. I was just suggesting how things usually turn out. Martinevans123 (talk) 17:33, 8 August 2018 (UTC)
- There is quite a substantial, if not very well sourced, article at de:Ju-Air, which suggests that one here might be eventually reasonable. I'll use the Template:ill formatting to provide an inter-language link for now -- chris_j_wood (talk) 09:49, 10 August 2018 (UTC)

misleading current events page linking to article
[edit]The plane in question was not 79 years old, only the fuselage components were original German. Please remove that misleading bit from the wikipedia mainpage. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Main_Page&action=history 126.209.10.119 (talk) 19:20, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
- You need to try to get it changed at WP:ERRORS, not here dude. The Rambling Man (talk) 19:23, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
- If you have a reliable source for that detail, you could add it to this article under the "Aircraft" section. Currently it just says "It had served with the Swiss Air Force from 1939 to 1985...". Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 19:34, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
