Longest wining streak
[edit]Indians are altime leaders the 1916 giants had a tie there for streak starts over! Ddematteo (talk) 20:43, 16 September 2017 (UTC)
- No, the Elias Sports Bureau, the MLB, and the Indians all officially recognize the 1916 Giants as having the longest streak in MLB history at 26 games. Ties did not (and still do not) count as games in the standings and were replayed. In the case of the Giants' tie, it was replayed the next day as part of a doubleheader and the Giants won the replayed game. Frank AnchorTalk 01:51, 17 September 2017 (UTC)
