Contested deletion
[edit]Another article being proposed deletion from a random IP whose only account seems to be directed to that only. The article will be updated once the nominees are announced in the coming weeks. The subject is notable for an awards article which is broadcast through local television stations in the southern United States and radio stations in Texas. – jona ✉ 21:38, 2 July 2016 (UTC)
- @AJona1992:You are presuming that it will have significant coverage but it is not guaranteed. You also have no secondary sources for the article. So what's there to contest here?107.77.222.67 (talk) 18:00, 3 July 2016 (UTC)
- User:@Tseung Kwan O: Can you explain why you removed the deletion tag? The article does NOT meet the notability guidelines.107.77.222.66 (talk) 01:07, 6 July 2016 (UTC)
- First of all, there are currently no specific guidelines concerning music awards, therefore we must refer to general guidelines when evaluating the notability of this article. From information obtained from the main article Tejano Music Awards, we know that this award is one of the main awards concerning Tejano music. Using this piece of information alone, we can reach the conclusion that this music award is in fact notable in that it's one of the most important for Tejano music.
