Title
[edit]Should not the title of this article be '2016 Calcutta Flyover collapse'?
- WP:COMMONNAME. --QEDK (T ☕ C) 10:40, 4 April 2016 (UTC)
Technical causes of the collapse?
[edit]There is no discussion of causes of the collapse. I have never seen any discussion of the technical/structural causes of the such collapses in India. Only political implications are discussed. A discussion of why the collapse occurred should have been perhaps the most useful part of the article. Malaiya (talk) 18:16, 16 May 2018 (UTC)

2016 Kolkata overpass collapse → 2016 Kolkata flyover collapse – WP:COMMONNAME. I could've been bold and moved it but it was ITN on the Main Page, so this deserved a discussion. A Google search gives more links on the flyover search (around 11 mil in difference). Overpass is the Americanized version of flyover but the most of the media of the affected location (country, whatever) refers to it by the term flyover. QEDK (T ☕ C) 10:50, 4 April 2016 (UTC)
- Support it's a flyover. The Rambling Man (talk) 14:11, 4 April 2016 (UTC)
- Support per common name in home country. Jolly Ω Janner 16:23, 4 April 2016 (UTC)
- Support Essentially like calling Indian hurricanes cyclones instead. InedibleHulk (talk) 10:32, 5 April 2016 (UTC)
- *Slight laughter* They're actually called cyclones, referred to as hurricanes in Atlantic and Northeast Pacific. --QEDK (T ☕ C) 15:56, 5 April 2016 (UTC)
- Then essentially the other way around. A typhoon by any name. Or like calling a garbage truck crash a 2014 Glasgow bin lorry crash. InedibleHulk (talk) 04:24, 6 April 2016 (UTC)
- Yeah, that. --QEDK (T ☕ C) 05:05, 6 April 2016 (UTC)
