[edit]Wouldn't it be better to put them in boxes like the NFL All-Pro teams The Movie Master 1 (talk) 00:29, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
- No, the reason for the boxes inthe NFL all-pros is to separate 1st and 2nd team. These are all 1st team slections, also there are far more all-america teams than All-pro teams, so it is a question of size. Graphics in this case doesn't work and al lthe other all-america articles arethe same . . . and all the All-pro articles are the same. So, that's why there is no graphics here. It's a nice thought, but not really practicle.Bigmaninthebox (talk) 01:49, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
Format pt. 2
[edit]I know this is a featured list and all but... honestly this is a horrendous format. It's so needlessly difficult to follow. The pages for more recent AA teams may not be as comprehensive, but they're far simpler in terms of readability. And this is the only AA page on Wikipedia formatted this way. I know it might be blasphemous to propose sacrificing its FL status, but honestly I don't think this is worth it. Lizard (talk) 00:55, 16 August 2016 (UTC)

Format changes
[edit]@WikiOriginal-9: I saw your revert of Sergio Skol's format changes, based on this being a WP:FL. However, there is an issue with the status quo, as it gives no direct indication of who were the consensus selections. Given that the consensus determination relies on 2nd and 3rd team selections too (The system consists of three points for first team, two points for second team and one point for third team.
), it seems those should be listed too.
Also, earlier comments at #Format (by Bigmaninthebox responding to The Movie Master 1) and #Format pt. 2 (by Lizard the Wizard) had concerns about the information being formatted as a table. Courtesy ping also to TonyTheTiger, who got this promoted to FL. —Bagumba (talk) 09:41, 27 December 2023 (UTC)
- Such a list should absolutely include second and third team selections. I'm surprised that it was promoted to featured status without that. Cbl62 (talk) 19:00, 27 December 2023 (UTC)
- Do you have a preference on how that is presented? If still using table format, is there a dedicated column for each of the three AP teams, or one combined column?—Bagumba (talk) 10:43, 28 December 2023 (UTC)
- I don't. For historic seasons, we've used a table to display the consensus team and a non-table format to list the full resuts. E.g., 1925 College Football All-America Team. Cbl62 (talk) 10:56, 28 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Cbl62, Bagumba, Lizard the Wizard, The Movie Master 1, and Bigmaninthebox:, If preferred formatting has changed in the last 15 years please feel free to update toward that convention.-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 05:10, 3 January 2024 (UTC)
- @WikiOriginal-9: Any objection to reverting back to the previous version? I think it's more friendly for those view on mobile or without widescreens, and the consensus picks are highlighted. Improvements, if needed, could be made off that version (e.g. listing 2nd and 3rd team selections).—Bagumba (talk) 06:54, 3 January 2024 (UTC)
- No, but the FL will probably have to be delisted since that version wasn't reviewed. ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 06:55, 3 January 2024 (UTC)
- Anyone is free to initiate an WP:FLRC. However, I think one is expectied to have specific action items on FL criteria not being met. It's not merely to start a procedural review, and it's probably preferable to boldly improve it or try to resolve issues on the talk page first. —Bagumba (talk) 07:30, 3 January 2024 (UTC)
