Myrtle Beach Regional

[edit]

Is the Myrtle Beach regional being hosted at BB&T Coastal Field or Charles Watson Stadium on Coastal Carolina's campus? A few articles I've seen indicate it will be at CCU [1], [2], and [3]. Does anyone have any information saying it will be at BB&T Coastal Field? Patken4 (talk) 21:19, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Format

[edit]

Is it necessary to list the records in the brackets themselves? That's not done on any other yet. Better to make a chart or something that lists records, conference records, RPI, etc., and make the brackets clean. Jhn31 (talk) 01:58, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm thinking maybe a table at the top along these lines:

Coral Gables Regional
Seed School Conference Record Conference Record Berth type
1 #1 Miami FL ACC 47-8 23-5 Tournament Champions
2 Missouri Big 12 38-19 16-11 At-large bid
3 Mississippi SEC 37-24 15-15 At-large bid
4 Bethune Cookman MEAC 36-20 17-1 Tournament Champions
Ann Arbor Regional
Seed School Conference Record Conference Record Berth type
1 Arizona Pac-10 38-17 12-12 At-large bid
2 Michigan Big 10 45-12 26-5 Tournament Champions
3 Kentucky SEC 42-17 16-14 At-large bid
4 Eastern Michigan MAC 25-32 15-8 Tournament Champions

Maybe the "Tournament Champions" could link to the article on that particular tournament. This would clean up the brackets and make it look nice. Obviously the columns lengths should be tweaked, but something along these lines I think would look really nice.Jhn31 (talk) 02:19, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. The record of the team does not need to be in the bracket. In fact, it messes up the bracket display quite frequently. I like your idea for the tables. Seancp (talk) 02:32, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I also see no reason to italicize in the bracket for the home team. It's not done on any other year, and looks jarring to the eye. It's clear who the host is from the name of the regional. Jhn31 (talk) 23:45, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Again I agree with you. I had actually planned to just let the tourney play out and then go in later and clean up the article. Right now there are too many anonymous editors and its difficult to keep the format consistent. If you remove something or change something then they will just go in and revert it....so if you just wait it out then we can get it looking nice and standardized later on.
