Top Scorers

[edit]

I think there are too many people to add to the top scorers list. Should we limit it to a certain number or score count? For example, at this stage of the championship, only adding players that have more than ten points? BÁCABÚ 18:01 18 June 2007

yeh, definately, that was the (badly communicated) plan. I think approx 20 players (which does not necessarily mean the Top 20 - fifty players could be tied for 19th place for example, so we would only use the top 18 scorers), and the scoring tally that makes approx that number should be the limit.--Macca7174 18:43, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
In retrospect - make that about 10 players. I am also considering putting a matches played column, which would put James Masters tally in much better perspective against the plethora of Louth players who have already played 4 games.
Another point - is it worth having a separate table for the qualifiers, or should they all be incorporated into one table??--Macca7174 19:30, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Would you consider a points per game colums to be fair on the players who did not get a run in the qualifers?

I think the points per game column is a leveller. Louth had played four games by the time Cork had played two, so there were about six Louth men in the top ten, the average makes a better impression of who is on the best form.--Macca7174talk 21:52, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

date for qualifiers draw??

[edit]

has the GAA announced a date for the qualifiers draw??--Macca7174 10:10, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The back door system draw needs to be changed, as the draw is random, not done the way it is presented. Also, in the 3rd round there will be teams who weren't in the 1st or 2nd rounds, so this section will definetly need to be changed. Scuzzball 20:17, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I assume that you are referring to the qualifiers brackets. I realise that it is inaccurate, but my intention was to adapt the brackets as the draws take place, so that they all fit. I don't know what you mean by the third round teams, the brackets for the third round are separated and include the four provincial runners up.--Macca7174talk 21:52, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Direction of Qualifiers

[edit]

Hi Guys, I dont know how to fix this but i think that the direction of the qualifiers bracket (rd1 and rd2) should be left to right. Currently it is right to left. Its confusing particularly becuase the quarts/semis/final bracket is left to right. l-to-r is generally best i would be believe. Gael-wh. 131.111.194.10 21:01, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Quarter finals.

[edit]

When did they announce what teams the winners of Round 3 would play in the quarters, ie Laois/Derry vs Kerry etc? Derry Boi 22:03, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
