Re: Team of the decade.

[edit]

Yeah, it's here. It also lists the team for every years since it began, which may come in useful. Derry Boi 14:27, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cavanan

[edit]

Sorry about my late reply well done on that, great work (mainly by yourself) (Gnevin 17:51, 1 August 2007 (UTC)) {{User:Gnevin/sandbox9}} , like this? (Gnevin 18:15, 6 August 2007 (UTC))[reply]

I notice you are removing the | as a seperator in the templates such as {{tyrone Football Team 1995}},is this because it looks better or because | upsets the template because it can be added by using &#124(Gnevin 22:16, 8 August 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Speedy deletion of Image:Tyrone Panel 2005.jpg

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Image:Tyrone Panel 2005.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. [1], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:

  • state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
  • add the relevant copyright tag.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:Tyrone Panel 2005.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Polly (Parrot) 23:40, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Images

[edit]

Hi Macca, good job on the Irish News templates. Just to let you know there's been a few decent Tyrone images on the Ulster Council's website recently that are freely licensed. I would upload them and add to the appropriate pages myself, but don't really have the time to do much editing other than Derry GAA articles at the minute. I know you're a Tyrone man, so I've linked you to some of the articles you can find the images in in below if you're interested.

here, here, here, here and here.

License details here. Derry Boi (talk) 17:41, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Macca, I've just noticed your edit removing my citation request after sporttracker a moment ago. Could you clarify my question about his career that I posted on the discussion page? Thanks. 86.42.119.12 (talk) 16:49, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RE:Peter Canavan

[edit]

Oh right wasn't aware of that, being doing it wrong all this time! Not at home at the minute, so don't have the paper to hand, but I'll change it when I get home later on. There was also a bit of decent information in the article about his performances in the 2002 Ulster Senior Club Championship. I decided not to add it because if I had I think the club section would be too biasedly weighted towards one season only. I can add it though it you feel it'd be helpful. I think we'd have to expand upon the club section a bit though. Derry Boi (talk) 12:00, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed the refs there. Derry Boi (talk) 12:17, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Basically it was a one and a half page interview with Canavan, with the other half page kind of a snippet feature which showed the top five monents that define Canavan's career. I think one was the 03 All-Ireland final, one was 95 AI final, one was fighting wth Jason Akermanis and one was his role in Errigal's 2002 Ulster club campaign (can't remember the other one). AFAIR it mentioned his score tallies in each round of the 02 ulster club championship and how important he was. I'll have a look later and see if I still have the article and will add some sort of summary sentence anyway. Derry Boi (talk) 12:55, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Template

[edit]

I fixed the template for you see User:Macca7174/sandbox4 ,you renamed name to fullname which messed it up a bit and was an extra }}. Did you intend to remove the fullname part of the template? Gnevin (talk) 14:27, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I like the some of the changes however , how do we deal with players whom player in Goal for county and out field for club like Paddy Cullen or in the middle of the park for club and full forward at county. Also any change will needed to be reflected in the dual player template Gnevin (talk) 16:11, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
How about User:Gnevin/sandbox if you just use ic position it shows position if you use clposition it shows IC position and CL position Gnevin (talk) 16:44, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Barry O'Rorke , how do we implement this for dualplayers ,I think we need to go back to the old way Gnevin (talk) 16:55, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thats fair enough , in terms of changing icposition to position that would involve a bot run and isn't really worth the effort Gnevin (talk) 23:21, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Macca7174! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 3 of the articles that you created are Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to these articles, it would greatly help us with the current 329 article backlog. Hi, would you be so kind as to give us support!

[edit]

Hello, I hope you're doing fine and I sincerely apologize for this intrusion. I've just read your profile and I understood that you're an Irishman (I wish I can visit your wonderful country some time soon!), so you can understand what are a minorized language and culture and maybe I am not bothering you and you will help us... I'm a member of a Catalan association "Amical de la Viquipèdia" which is trying to get some recognition as a Catalan Chapter but this hasn't been approved up to that moment. We would appreciate your support, visible if you stick this on your first page: Wikimedia CAT. Supporting us will be like giving equal opportunity to minorized languages and cultures in the future! Thanks again, wishing you a great summer, take care! Keep on preserving your great culture, country, music and language! I hope you get lots of work and play great roles! Slán agat! Capsot (talk) 06:38, 13 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry it took me so long to see you supported us. Thanks a lot, if you ever need something from me in Occitan, Catalan or else, just let me know I'll be glad to help the best I can, take care! In case you might be interested about the campaign, I'll try to keep some kind of diary on my userpageCapsot (talk) 07:17, 20 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
