Game 4, Misuse of 'Backs to the Wall'
[edit]The description of Game 4 opens: 'With their backs to the wall in Game 4, Cleveland called on Ken Hill to help tie the series.' 'Backs to the Wall' is a poor choice in this context because it implies that losing the game would have finished the Indians' postseason. However, even if the Indians had lost Game 4, they would still have had a chance to take the series by winning three games in a row, a difficult situation but not a hopeless one. By winning Game 4 and not going down 3-1, the Indians were able to avoid having their backs against the wall. RobotBoy66 (talk) 09:28, 11 October 2018 (UTC)
