What is "spindle drive shaft"?
[edit]Can someone explain what the carburetor spindle drive shaft is? It seems odd that a carburetor should have any kind of drive shaft. Is it rather the drive shaft to the supercharger? BMJ-pdx (talk) 10:24, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
- I thought this part of the article was confusing, for that reason as well as because it says that General Cabal testified that the cause of the crash was metal fatigue in the carburetor drive shaft even though the plane had less than 100 flight hours. This seems counterintuitive. Is it the generally accepted explanation of the cause of the crash? If so why would a part fail due to metal fatigue so quickly? Dakane2 (talk) 15:11, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
