- "landfall between Pensacola and Mobile during the evening of September 27," - Are you sure? The track looks a bit west of Mobile Bay. When I plug in the coordinates in on Google Earth, it showed that the storm likely made landfall near Pascagoula, Mississippi.
- "During the afternoon, the hurricane made landfall between Pensacola and Mobile," - See the previous issue
- "The southern end of West Main street" - Capitalization error; capital "s" on "street"
- "down in New Orleans after the hurricane, resulting the loss of contact" - Grammar error; write the word "in" between "resulting" and "the"
- I have fixed all of the issues you mentioned. Thanks! HurricaneFan25 20:01, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry for the wait, I was really busy with the GAN of the 1986 PHS. Well anyway, I will now be passing this article.--12george1 (talk) 20:35, 26 October 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Why is it called the Pensacola hurricane if it hit Mississippi? --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 02:57, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
- Eh...nvm, I'll rename it later, Longshore (1998) says 78 deaths in MS. HurricaneFan25 13:21, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
