- Why the "possibly" in the opening sentence?
- I wanted to indicate that it was an estimate, but meh. Cloudchased (talk) 12:52, 5 March 2014 (UTC)
- "Weather historian David M. Ludlum followed the disturbance's track to the Bahamas by 19 August; intense winds continued until 21 August, however, approximately 150 mi (240 km) east of Eleuthera" - I dont get the "however" and "continued", or the location. Does that mean the hurricane remained in that area? Some clearer wording would be good.
- Done? Cloudchased (talk) 12:52, 5 March 2014 (UTC)
- "Steering currents brought the storm northward, and it approached Charleston, South Carolina on 22 August, where an easterly flow incessantly varying from northeast to southeast veering north-northeastward preceded the storm, indicated its passage far east of the city." - too verbose here. Just write exactly what happened. Remember, you don't have to write a lot to write well.
- Cut out a bit. Cloudchased (talk) 12:52, 5 March 2014 (UTC)
- Did it really dissipate on the 25th? I can't read the source. Or, was it last observed?
- Last observed. Cloudchased (talk) 12:52, 5 March 2014 (UTC)
- "While stationed off of the New England shoreline" --> "While offshore New England". What's wrong with simple writing? It seems like you're trying to make the article longer by fluffing sentences.
- Blah, blibbity. Cloudchased (talk) 12:52, 5 March 2014 (UTC)
- Offshore New England shoreline is still redundant :P Hurricanehink mobile (talk) 17:44, 5 March 2014 (UTC)
- "numerous ships experienced damage and considerable destruction to structures was observed" - it read like the ships experienced damage and destruction, which is redundant, but then I realized this is a Garden path sentence. Please fix!
- Clarified. Cloudchased (talk) 12:52, 5 March 2014 (UTC)
All in all, a pretty good short article. This shouldn't take much time to fix :) ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 04:24, 5 March 2014 (UTC)
- I'm currently away from my computer, but I'll pass this later on, even if you don't get the bit about the shoreline :P Hurricanehink mobile (talk) 17:44, 5 March 2014 (UTC)
