Dead link
[edit]During several automated bot runs the following external link was found to be unavailable. Please check if the link is in fact down and fix or remove it in that case!
Done I've changed it to an archived version. --82.40.89.223 (talk) 02:03, 11 July 2019 (UTC)
Rewrite of Alternative top domain section, 2013-08-16
[edit]I added "(.ΕΛ in capital letters)" so the similarity to .EA is more apparent and then I decided to improve the wording of the section and added the latter part of the last sentence (which includes an internal link). While I rewrote a lot, I didn't check the cited source to verify that it includes the facts in this section; I just assumed that previous editors who worked on this section stayed faithful to the source. I would like to change the section heading as well but I'm afraid that it would screw up internal links to this section in other articles.
By the way, if ICANN doesn't reconsider implementing .ελ, I suggest Greeks apply for .ελλας. --anon. 71.183.133.71 (talk) 19:39, 16 August 2013 (UTC)
Official second level domain correction
[edit]The following were listed as official second level domains:
mil.gr mod.gr sch.gr
However, I believe they are regular domains that are catered to specific organisations (as described). They have WHOIS records:
Domain Name:sch.gr Domain Handle:dr-19256-gr Protocol Number:19256 Creation Date:XX-XX-XXXX Expiration Date:XX-XX-XXXX Updated Date:XX-XX-XXXX Registrar:ΟΤΕ ΑΕ Registrar Referral URL:http://www.ote.gr Registrar Email:domain-names@ote.gr Registrar Telephone:13818 Whois Server: Bundle Name:sch.gr Name Server:*.*.sch.gr
I moved them to the unofficial second level domains section.
