Need a new article
[edit]I'm not surprised that this horrible article hasn't even been changed to show that this domain is now live and in the root zone. It's an incredible quagmire reflecting the legal mess surrounding delegation of this gTLD.
I propose that this entire article be moved to something like "History of .africa" and a new article be created that looks like most of the other TLD articles in existence. (Then the "history" article will need to be thoroughly edited, but that's not something I have the skill, patience or expertise to do.) If there is no objection posted here, I'll try and come back next week and take a stab at it.

- I agree that the history should be extracted to another page and the article made consistent with other TLDs. Most of the history is also captured in the ICANN Wiki. - Wachunga (talk) 18:12, 7 July 2017 (UTC)
- I added a little bit more useful information in the beginning of the summary. Less political and more substantive to what the TLF is. FreddyDVO (talk) 01:26, 8 December 2017 (UTC)
- Agreed. It's too much. A rambling dense text on the legal issues surrounding the domain. It needs to be moved and thoroughly edited. MarshallMolasses (talk) 19:27, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
