Nomenclature
[edit]I've been a gunnut and 1911 fan for half a century, and I have never before seen this round called ".45/38"; it was always referred to as the ".38-45 Clerke," in keeping with normal practice (.22-250, 7mm-08, 8mm-06, .38-44 Bain & Davis, etc. etc. -- the actual (nominal) caliber always comes first). Where did the author find this term? -- Craig Goodrich 68.227.19.99 (talk) 20:01, 29 December 2010 (UTC)
- I incline to .38-45 Clerke, too, but Barnes (as the source notes...) has it .45/38. Since I can't source anything else... TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 02:33, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
