Hôtel Alexandre?
[edit]Where in Paris is the Hôtel Alexandre? I can't find it. Anybody know the longitude/latitude? Street address? --Ragemanchoo (talk) 10:58, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
Hm?
[edit]"the hollow sphere foreshadows the death of Newtonian Physics" So, he forsaw Quantum Physics or something? What does this mean? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.216.90.92 (talk) 02:31, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
I also thought this was highly questionable. At this time in history, Newtonian Physics was pretty much set in stone. Even 100 years later, Newtonian Physics was still unquestionably the truth. Somebody take this artsy blabbering down. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 139.140.73.15 (talk) 09:38, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
Surname pronunciation guide?
[edit]How do others feel about including a pronunciation guide for "Boullée"? I've heard everything from "boo-YAY" to "boh-lee-AY". I'm no great Francophone, so I don't want to suggest I'm correct, but just from modern rules of French pronunciation, I'd guess that it'd be something like "boo-e-YAY". Could anyone provide a definitive pronunciation (and perhaps even format it for the lede)? Thanks! Bricology (talk) 21:13, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
- No, the double-L only makes a Y sound in words like bouillabaisse. Boullée is pronounced BOO-LAY, with equal stress on both syllables.
