Is this being continued?
[edit]Is the series being continued or is it completed? We should add that. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Lordkarasu (talk • contribs).
Yeah it's complete(from what sites such as Baka-Updates say), I added it on.
So... what's the plot?
[edit]Just found out about this manga from some fan picture, but this article has yet to tell me what the story is about. What's the plot? Are there any references for any of the information stated here? Wolf ODonnell 13:05, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
- As for the plot, there isn't much; just the main characters wandering around and meeting people. There have been hints that Cooro is the "angel with black wings" of some prophecy, though. As for the references, well, just read the manga :-P --Εξαίρετος (msg) 09:41, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
Think of it like a American Comic. No basic plot, just people doing abnormal stuff.
I like to think of it as random adventuring. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.224.15.96 (talk) 06:33, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
There isn't really a plot until the 10th volume, it focuses more on how the +Anima are treated.∞ —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mysteriousshamrock (talk • contribs) 11:35, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
Well, there are smaller plots (moreover arcs really) going on before the tenth volume. (Bee Manor, Maggie's Colosseum Senri's past, Husky's secrets and being lost, etc.) those might be important to include, as they changed the characters' interactions with each other, (and the audience's view of Senri especially, now we know he really is part monster (debatable), and we have an idea of why he's so quiet). The characters' reactions to finding these things out about their friends, and still sticking together (debatable when Nana joined the group and Husky tried to leave) are an integral part of the story. There should be a plot diagram, or something on this page cataloging what information (about the characters) each of the characters has, when they get that information, and what their opinion on it is, (i.e. Fly now knows Husky is a fish +Anima and this is his viewpoint on that...I suppose Fly was a character whose motivations were unclear until volume 10) these could be backed up with quotes from the original manga. Anyway, a plot category would be very, very helpful to this page. --wbloomer15 (talk) 12:06, 20 August 2013 (UTC)wbloomer15
Margaret's +Anima
[edit]On the page it is listed as horse, but on page 129 of volume 3, the animal outline appears more as a deer (mainly the tail (short and standing up as opposed to a horse's being long) ). Maybe that should be changed.
No, I'm pretty sure she's a deer Black Cat Claws (talk) 12:37, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
Pictures
[edit]Does anyone think we should add pictures of the main characters? Maybe a before/after transformation thing.
- I added in a picture of Cooro and Husky. I'll see about the other two later.--Animasage 22:57, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
- Is that really husky? Looks like a real husky... Redskunk 01:23, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
- It seems the image was uploaded replacing an existing image, and it was reverted. The image is here, but doesn't seem to be associated with anything in the Image namesopace. --Εξαίρετος (msg) 08:58, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
- I had no idea it was messed up*shrug*.Guess I'll upload the already one.--Animasage 00:16, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
- I think there should be a picture for each character. It would make be better than just having one picture of Cooro for the whole article. I'll see if I can find some...
- If you can find the 10th volume cover, that has all four characters on. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mysteriousshamrock (talk • contribs) 11:37, 3 September 2009 (UTC)

Profiles tweaked, Plot redone
[edit]I completely redid the Plot section. If I made a mistake (as I have only read 3 volumes), please correct it.
I also tweaked the wording of the profiles for the main characters (Cooro, Husky, Nana, Senri) and the other +Anima. Again, if I made a mistake, correct it for me =) DaniDaniDanica 00:08, 5 May 2007 (UTC) There were quite a few errors, so I went in and fixed those. There were also some bits of nonsense I don't know how got in there, so I got rid of those, too.

Currently, there are 6 (as of December 2007 anyway) NightMaj (talk) 04:16, 18 February 2008 (UTC) There are seven as of June 4th. Eight comes out on the 18th, I believe. Maybe the 16th.
As of Tuesday, August 20th, 2013 ...(are any other editors still editing? I should hope so... I think so...) all 10 volumes of +Anima have been released in America.--Wbloomer15 (talk) 12:14, 20 August 2013 (UTC)wbloomer15
Fair use rationale for Image:Cooro.jpg
[edit]Image:Cooro.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 21:40, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
Pronounciation
[edit]I've noticed that I can't find anywhere where you can actually find the pronounciation of the name. Is it like Plus Anima or what? This should probably also be put on the page, unless I'm just a totall clutz with not realizing stuff. (Also, sorry if this is a stupid question. I just HAD to know.) ZiruMatsuko 02:40, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
Thats alright, I believe that it is how you said, 'cause I can't think of any other way of saying it ;) Ericschulz 10:42, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
The katakana above the title says "Purasu Anima," so I guess it's Plus Anima. NightMaj (talk) 04:17, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
- It should be "Plus Anima" according to the furigana. See the article on Blood+ for a similar case. --Eruhildo (talk) 05:07, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
Did the story conclude or did it end abruptly?
[edit]The way the article states this is a little confusing. When the manga "ended" did the story have any sort of resolution or was it cancelled and die on a cliffhanger? - The Norse (talk) 23:25, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
Seriously, guys. I need to know. The article doesn't state anything farther into the story than chapter 8 (i skimmed, so...). Yeah. Please, find it out!!! >_<---usa-chan
It ends sort of suddenly. We finally learn about Cooro/his past, then they go live with **SPOILER** Haden and Margaret... Or at least it looks like it, 'cause they're at their house. I think they adopted them or something. I don't know. Wait for it to come out in English. DECEMBER 6th.
Stating +Anima Aren't Human
[edit]Isn't that what the book is all about? You're calling them anthropomorphic, animals with human characteristics, when they should be humans with animal characteristics! Also, when you said Sinon was originally a human, but became a +Anima, that's labeling them as a completely different species! Great job at not supporting the meaning of the manga!
Bisurge (talk) 03:26, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
- ...You do realize +Anima isn't real, and that we can't offend the characters, right? That said, it's a pretty low quality article in general. If you want to try improving it, including making the lead synch more with the series tone, go right ahead. --erachima formerly tjstrf 03:30, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
Technically, the +Anima characters ARE human. It's not about offending the characters, it's about the facts and the point of the book. The +Anima are regular humans. They get their animal-like traits from these spirit-like animals who give them the powers. That's all the +Anima are, regular humans with the powers and abilities of certain animals. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Marshmallowcreampie (talk • contribs) 17:50, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
Should the main characters have their own articles?
[edit]I think that once more of the manga comes out in English, we will have enough information to make seperate articles for Cooro, Husky, Senri and Nana. If ever they make +Anima an anime, then we should definitely put up pages for each of them. But that's just me.
No. There are only 10 books and there isn't enough information on each character to make it worth giving them each their own article.
That said, we should maybe split the plot into background info about Astaria and plot. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mysteriousshamrock (talk • contribs) 12:10, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
Split and Expand.
[edit]This article definitely needs to split. I agree with the above user about the characters. We could include brief descriptions of the characters in the main page, but a separate article needs to be created for characters. I will try doing this, but if anyone is also willing, please feel free to do so. Not only characters, but if we can expand this article enough we split it into manga chapters or volumes also. As for expansion, we can add several other sections, including reception, etc. ~ Hyakurei (talk) 18:29, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
- Oppose character pages. Character pages should not be made unless they are notable. Do these characters have reception, concept/creation notes, merchandise modeled after them, anything like that? If not, they should be kept on either one list or on the main page. As it stands now, these characters don't seem to have any third-party sources and many of the other characters should be removed from the main page. Really, the best course of action is to remove all but the main characters, unless information on the characters tallies up enough to make a list/individual pages. However, making a list of chapters is a fine idea, though it will need sourcing. As for third-party sources, I can help with reception. Concept/creation is usually difficult to find, unless someone has the volumes which contain anything about the making of the story.WhiteArcticWolf (talk) 20:43, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
- I do see your point. As for references, I will be getting my hands on the books in a couple of weeks and I can add them then. ~ Hyakurei (talk) 21:41, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
What sort of resources are necessary? +Anima is not very popular, so ratings and such will be difficult to find, if they exist at all. I think a page of chapters/list of characters is in order. With approval, I will begin on such pages immediately. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.9.174.85 (talk) 01:59, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
- I don't think the problem is the character pages, the problem is the amount of stuff covered in plot. I think we should split the plot, maybe into plot and background info about +Anima —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mysteriousshamrock (talk • contribs) 12:12, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
